What are Carriers and how are Frequencies transmitted through them?

A Carrier Frequency is a higher frequency than that you wish to use. Carrier Frequencies are "modulated" by the frequency you wish to use, resulting in both the Carrier Frequency and the frequency you wish to use, in the same signal.

One form of Modulation is Amplitude Modulation or "AM". An AM radio is an example of using a carrier frequency. The Amplitude of the Carrier Frequency is varied at the rate of the audio frequencies. We don't hear the Carrier Frequency, because it is too high for our hearing. But we do hear the audio frequency.

A Carrier frequency can be radiated or conducted. The BCX Ultra can use Carrier Frequencies for Electrodes, Raytubes, High Power Plasma Carrier Modulators, and High Power LED Wands. Here is an example of BCX Ultra Raytubes, which radiate and conduct energy. Energy in the air is measured by an antenna connected to a Spectrum Analyser:

The Carrier Frequency of an Ultra Raytube is 100KHz. Here, the Spectrum Analyser measures 30 Watts of power at 100KHz when the BCX Ultra produces only a single frequency- 100KHz:

When the Ultra modulates the 100KHz Carrier with a 10KHz pure Sinewave, the Spectrum Analyser shows the fundamental at 100KHz and the 10KHz as sidebands at 90KHz and 110KHz. (A pure Sinewave generates no additional Harmonic Frequencies)

When the Ultra modulates the 100KHz Carrier with 10KHz with a Squarewave, the Spectrum Analyser shows the fundamental at 100KHz and the 10KHz as sidebands at 90KHz and 110KHz, and the infinite number of Harmonic Frequencies of 10KHz. Fundamental, 3'rd, and 5'th marked.

On an Oscilloscope, one can actually see the waveforms. Below is an Oscilloscope capture of a 100Hz and a 10Hz Sinewave. You can make out the shape of the 100Hz Sinewave, and recognize that it is modulated by the 10Hz Sinewave component:

Similiarly, 100Hz and 10Hz Squarewaves are shown:
